Job Title: Content Operations - Content Strategist III

Job Description: We’re searching for a Content Strategist to manage updates and create new content for our business design system documentation. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and editor with experience in digital content management and content strategy. You will be responsible for the entire project end-to-end, including collaborating to define the information architecture for the content; creating, reviewing and editing all content; publishing the content on our internal wiki; and writing content creation guidelines. Create, edit and publish content for the design system component library in simple, jargon-free language using Meta’s voice to accurately capture how to use the design system.

Additionally you will need to be a proactive problem solver to get the information you need, have an eye for detail, ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and deliver high-quality work on schedule.

Responsibilities

Understand the current channels the product team uses to educate people about this internal product and what is currently working well and what challenges the team is having with these existing channels.
Audit the existing documentation and identify areas to improve, gaps to fill and opportunities to elevate the documentation quality and coverage.
Develop a plan to create all necessary documentation based on the audit you conducted.
Write documentation and collaborate with our engineering and design teams to review documentation.
Write content creation guidelines and train our engineering and design teams about how to write help and educational content.
Develop and launch a communication plan for the documentation that aligns to the product team's existing strategic comms plan.
Apply consistent information architecture and content hierarchy across documentation, collaborate and manage feedback from cross-functional stakeholders.
Consistently deliver content that meets or exceeds Meta’s quality standards.
Meet bi-weekly publishing deadlines with high attention to detail.
Share an analysis of the usage and success of the new documentation.

Minimum skills and experience

3+ years’ experience of digital content writing and management, including using a CMS.
A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables.
Knowledgeable about design systems and their impact on product creation, fluent in product and design systems deliverables and workflows, and experience working directly with a design systems team, with a working knowledge of design systems values and goals.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to produce content.
Must be able to effortlessly manage ambiguity, prioritize work and improvise in a fast paced, deadline driving, detail-oriented environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills is a must.
Experience working directly with product teams, including engineering and design teams.

Preferred skills and experience

Writing technical or educational guides for consumers or businesses.
Experience within a global technology company or digital-focused industry.
