Vettanna is seeking a paralegal with 2+ years experience to join our client's team on a temporary 8+ month project. Project extension is possible. Position Summary
Litigation Paralegals support the Fortune 500 client's Americas Litigation team by actively managing response to court orders, liens, subpoenas, and other legal communications. This role will partner closely with the paralegals and attorneys on the Americas Litigation team and a “can-do” attitude and strong sense of camaraderie are essential.

Job Description
• Work with paralegals, attorneys, and data analysts to respond to court orders, liens, subpoenas, and other legal communications.
• Read and analyze legal documents to accurately identify what information or actions are requested and, as importantly, what are not.
• Gain proficiency with client’s customer service tools and other online database portals and use basic scripting commands to query databases.
• Collaborate with teammates to manage and organize a large volume of requests and responses. Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping are of the utmost importance.
• Think critically to spot issues and inconsistencies raised by legal requests and court orders. Escalate issues to team leads or attorneys as appropriate and propose solutions.
• Understand and comply with relevant client procedures and policies, particularly those protecting personal data.
• Proactively follow up with teammates and external parties from the time legal requests and orders are received through resolution/execution to ensure shortest cycle times.
• In selected cases, provide support in litigation matters.

Skills/Requirements
• Two (2) or more years of relevant experience as either a paralegal, legal assistant, or a former eBay employee.
• Prior experience at eBay and a practical understanding of eBay’s back-end customer service tools and policies are strongly preferred, but not required.
• Understanding of eBay marketplace, with experience in both buying and selling, is a plus.
• Ability to communicate firmly and professionally with occasionally hostile third parties.
• Strong project management skills and meticulous organization.
• Possess a high level of integrity commensurate with handling sensitive or confidential information.
• Internally motivated to excel, ability to work with minimal supervision, and maintain efficiency in a fast-pace and at times high pressure environment.
• Positive inter-team communication, a good sense of humor, and a “can-do” attitude.
• Ability and willingness to learn and grow in the role as circumstances require.
• Must be detail oriented, able to balance multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
