Job Description

The Learning & Development team at Meta plays a critical role in ensuring our employees have the tools and learning opportunities to multiply their impact at work, continually growing themselves as individuals and leaders. To support the quick-growing demand, we are hiring a Content Specialist who will be a strategic thinker and consultant that also implements change initiatives and marketing strategies to build leadership at all levels at Facebook. This role will help the L&D team deliver on our mission by developing all types of communication and marketing for L&D experiences, which includes communication that facilitates change. The Content Specialist will develop visuals, promotional efforts and other content over print, digital, and video surfaces.

The ideal candidate has the ability to execute in a variety of visual styles, can articulate design decisions, iterate quickly, and collaborate seamlessly with multiple partners. You'll cover the design spectrum — from quick, rough idea ideation to polished final deliverables. Your work will think big and get attention, but also follows a conceptual thread down to the smallest details. You will have phenomenal communication and copywriting skills with experience in corporate communications and project management. You will be comfortable working through large volumes of tasks while displaying meticulous attention to detail. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. You are innovative, organized and self-motivated with a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key partners. This role requires maturity, flexibility, humility, resourcefulness, and a sense of humor.

Responsibilities

-Develop an understanding of the ecosystem of the L&D learning programs and initiatives to fully design, develop, and execute change management strategies and communication plans
-Create actionable deliverables and manage day-to-day operational aspects of change management projects to facilitate change, including communications plans, stakeholder and sponsor plans, training plans, and resistance management plans
-Possess working knowledge of the best ways to market L&D programs and products and create actionable deliverables to market L&D programs
-Build and execute go-to-market plans to get these new learning programs to learners and measure the efficacy of these programs
-Develop communication and marketing assets such as branding logos, identification marks, presentations, presentation templates, storyboards, one-pagers, memes, gifs or animatics for motion graphics and video
-Ideate visual concepts/themes/directions and refine design work based on creative direction
-Communicate effectively (written, verbal, and presentation skills) and leverage storytelling while customizing to specific audience needs, including at the executive level
-Work cross-functionally and collaborate with internal and external team members, including executive staff, clearly articulating design decisions to a variety of partners
-Manage various high-caliber projects, meeting project deadlines and keeping stakeholders informed

Minimum Qualifications

-8+ years experience in leading communication and marketing initiatives
-Experience developing and delivering quality communications, including development of key messages
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Experience in copywriting and editing, developing content on all media platforms
-A portfolio with examples in branding, presentation support, communication design and promotion
-Solid understanding of project management principles
-Meticulous attention to detail
-Strategic and creative mindset
-Experience taking feedback to quickly iterate
-Experience overseeing ideas from inception to launch
-Experience developing interpersonal relationships with cross-functional partners
-Experience leading cross-functional and company-wide projects

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience leading organizational change initiatives
-Experience managing multiple simultaneous change initiatives on an enterprise scale,using change management methodologies and tools
-Experience working directly with executives and drafting executive-level communications
-Entrepreneurial multi-tasker who can be highly efficient with ambiguity and complexity
-Experience thinking strategically and acting operationally and experience managing ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and strategies
-Experience in web design and content production is a plus
-Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset
-Demonstrated knowledge for creativity and design
-Experience animating, using video or 3D programs
-Experience using code frameworks to develop creative solutions, such as CSS, Processing
-Experience using Facebook Business Products (Ads Manager, Business Manager, Facebook Pages, Instagram Ads, etc.)
-Demonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and other packages
